Today turned out to be Bill's last day (likely) at the Humanoid Robot Project team. I did not know it until he told me that at the end of the meeting. Bill Howdeshell is a professor at ECPI in Raleigh. He made really cool eyeballs and eyelids for the Humanoid Robot KEN. He is a very kind and encouraging person. I knew he would be leaving by the end of the spring term, but it was unexpected to be so soon.
Earlier in the afternoon, I was thinking about whether coming to this weekly meeting tonight. I have three papers due this finals week, plus my dissertation proposal update, and a new research IRB preparation. However, it did not take me long to decide to come anyway because I did want to miss anything important and I needed to keep a regular schedule. I am glad that I made the right decision to come. I would hate to miss the opportunity to see Bill before he left. Hope he will come to visit us again.
