We implemented the Studio STEM afterschool program at Centennial Campus Magnet Middle School next to the Friday Institute at NC State University from February 9 through 25. A total of sixteen female youth joined the 4-week-16-contact-hour Save the Seabirds curriculum and built solar cars to transport the seabirds' eggs to save them. On the last day, youth demonstrated their solar cars dragging a court with 10-12 egg-shaped rocks. It was a great fun and new experiences for students and our Studio STEM research team. I will miss the youth, site leaders, and facilitators.
